It's been a long time since I've even really thought about blogging, I haven't been much concerned with the "blogoverse" rarely checking blogs that I once frequented.
This morning after church a friend of mine approached me saying that he had come across my blog and was concerned about the previous post (the one with Yoda) and the little quote attached to the picture. He told me he didn't feel it was consistent with what I Confess as a member of the Body of Christ.
At the time I was uncertain to what he was referring, the post after was made more then four months ago and in truth I had largely forgotten about it. On viewing it today I can see what caught his attention.
I must confess when I took the little "How Jedi are You?" quiz I found the comment of the picture to be quite funny, and in truth I still kind of do. When I posted the image to my blog I was not thinking of my relationship with Christ but I should have been. As a Christian I am required to be a light to the world and in this case I most certainly failed in that obligation.
Humour is subjective; my responsibilities as a servant of God are not.
I've decided to not to edit or remove the "Yoda post" on the grounds of accountability. To remove the evidence of sin is to ignore its consequences and is a way of hiding from God and that I think would be another sin.

Over the past few months I've rediscovered a favourite TV series from the mid-ninties called seaQuest DSV. It was about a massive deep diving submarine that kept the peace in the troublesome oceans of near future.
Thanks to this rediscovery I've begun two little projects based on the series. The first project is a fan fiction series that picks up after the cancellation of seaQuest in 1996.
The other project is a game mod for Star Trek: Armada a strategy game made by Activision.

Today is my wife Kirsten's 24th birthday.
We'll be heading off to Red Lobster tonight for her birthday dinner, and she has been very excited, and her mother has been visiting us from BC for the last few day.
- 992,200,000 estimated total abortions (1939 being the first reporting
year and including estimated totals of illegal abortions)
It is an amazing, terrifing and extremely troubling thing to live in a society that places so much value on human life, and yet shows such utter contempt for its simplest form.

Now that I have a little free time I may actually Blog more then once every few months (as evidenced in the last few posts). As such I haven't updated my links menu in quite awhile this dispite the plethora of fun and interesting blogs that I try to keep up with.
I've also added some links to the Distant Reaches including New Cape Quest a SeaQuest based website and discussion board. Atlantis ASV a webseries also based on SeaQuest but with lots of other neat Questie related info.

I am consistently amazed by the buy the volume of stories of quiet heroism that come out of the Second World War. This particular story comes from BBC News Europe.
